In this day and age we’re seeing more often than not gadgetry that tries to do everything. Refrigerators that make shopping lists, cell phones with screens you can barely see with the ability to browse the web, toilet paper dispensers that connect to your iPod. How much do we need? And how many gadgets do you really use on a daily basis?
Personally, there are only a few gadgets that I rely on using on a day to day basis. My iPod, my Blackberry, and of course, my laptop. Aside from that, everything else is really just extra clutter, especially if its one of those ‘I can do it all, but I can’t do any of it really well’ gadgets.
So, what gadgets are a must have for you? And do you agree that some of the gadgets hitting the market are just ridiculous pieces of electronics that are more or less useless for the average Joe?

Being a gadget freak I should not really comment but…
I also can’t live without my iPod and other items. I think there are a few gadgets out there just marketed to us (gadget freaks) the problem is we buy them and most of the time enjoy them.
I think as long as you can afford to pay the bills and use the items what is wrong with it? I will admit I try and wait for certain gadgets to drop or at least think about it a little more befoe buying now but I will continue to be a gadget freak. Interesting article it makes you think and that’s always good.

Great question! Personally I can’t live without my Blackberry, Zune and my Laptop. I think the refrigerators that make out the shopping lists for you are great but who can really afford them? Now you mentioned the toilet paper dispensers that connect to your iPod. Do you think they might be coming out for the Zune as well,any time soon?

yeah I’m not down with every single thing being IPOD compatable, I to love my ZUNE in an IPOD loving market. why can’t companys just make these cool gadgets MP3 player compatable and not just apple compatable?

I look at the Iphone as one of these gadgets that seem to just do too much. I love the concept and the ability that it has(but not for the price) but at the same time I don’t need a phone that I can search the web on a screen that I can barely see. Although it did come in handy when someone looked up a question in class the other day.
Sometimes just a simple phone that you know allows you to just call someone is all that I need.
