L.A. Noire gets unconfidential in Game Informer debut
by IgorVortoner on Feb.04, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
As promised , Rockstar’s shadowy L.A. Noire has stepped out of the shadows and into the flashbulbs of a Game Informer cover. The magazine has a 10-page feature on the game, highlighting its facial animation and, oh yeah, the recreation of 1947 Los Angeles. Pick up a copy of the magazine for the details or we’re sure you can get the information from the dark alleyways of the internet.

They have put ‘They’ on hold
by IgorVortoner on Jan.28, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Software, Video Games
“They” are, of course, CD Projekt, creators of The Witcher , and They is the mysterious first-person shooter we’ve seen clips of since the fall of 2007. The resources of original developer Metropolis Software (purchased by CD Projekt ) were moved off the game and onto the higher-priority Witcher sequel, according to a new interview with Big Download . If you irrationally fall in love with games before you barely know anything about them, take heart! CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski said, “we have by far not buried They , and we would really like to return to it.” They have put ‘They’ on hold originally appeared on Joystiq on Thu, 28 Jan 2010 09:30:00 EST. Filed under: Podcasts This week we welcome a special guest to the show, Justin Russo, who won his spot by helping out fellow JPAGger Wesley Johnson to get a dead guy’s gums grafted onto his own. But it’s not just a show about him, we’ve got tons of discussion about the new Assassin’s Creed, hug chat with Ken Levine, alleged Rockstar shadiness and Dark Void . Plus there’s Tip O’ The Week, Stump JC and all the usual garbage. Enjoy. Oh, and thanks to Mike Suszek for the unfunny but inexplicably popular photoshop.

Robomodo CEO hints at new software for RIDE peripheral
by IgorVortoner on Nov.17, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Software, Video Games
Robomodo CEO David Michicich hinted that more software for the Tony Hawk: RIDE skateboard controller could be on its way. When asked if the developer had other ideas for the peripheral’s use outside of the skating genre in an interview with Develop , Michicich replied, “We’re doing a game with Activision and we’re not allowed to talk about it right now.” In June 2009, Robomodo president Joshua Tsui commented that the (probably going to be involved in its fair share of accidental injury lawsuits) peripheral could be used for a variety of software. “The obvious ones are snowboarding and surfing and such,” he told Videogamer . With a new entry into the Tony Hawk: RIDE franchise probably already in the planning stages, it appears the hardware will see new software to help lighten consumer guilt.

Square Enix announces new Lufia game, platforms unknown
by IgorVortoner on Nov.12, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
We understand Square Enix’s desire to branch out, but its latest move is just … it’s incomprehensible. To go from being the world’s premier developer of RPGs to creators of shower paraphernalia ? It makes no sense, but it’s what’s happening — according to a recent Famitsu article , Squeenix is now working on a new Luffa . This is uncharted territory for the company, but we can safely assume that it will be a very high quality Luffa, designed specifically for people with soft skin and outrageously spiky hair
