by billchoprab on Dec.31, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
Despite the similar game setting, the theme song to Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is not just the theme to MGS3 with the words “Snake Eater” replaced with “Peace Walker.” Maybe then if we listen to the newly-announced soundtrack enough, we’ll stop hearing “I’m still in a dream, peace walkerrrrrrrr” in our heads every time we see a reference to the upcoming PSP spinoff game. The Peace Walker soundtrack disc will be released on Konami Japan’s Konamistyle site on March 17, one day before the game releases, for

DJ Hero Renegade Edition’s Jay-Z, Eminem compilations detailed
by assedySteef on Oct.12, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
When you get home with your gigantic DJ Hero Renegade Edition box, make sure to get everything out of it. We know the temptation to just unfold the case/table thing and start playing the game with that kind of irresistible-looking novelty controller will be overwhelming, but if you turn the package over and shake it, exclusive greatest-hits CDs from Jay-Z and Eminem will fall out. Rolling Stone got the full list of tracks on both sets. Jay-Z’s disc sticks exclusively to past hits, but Eminem’s includes a brand-new song, “Taking My Ball.” That’s right, the “unreleased tracks” mentioned on the box is really unreleased track . And it’ll premiere on Eminem’s Sirius radio station over a week before the game comes out, so it’s more like no unreleased tracks

Rolando almost removed from App Store
by JamesTKirk on Jun.30, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games, iPhone, iPod
This weekend, ngmoco announced plans to remove the original Rolando from the iPhone/iPod Touch App Store, to allow the sequel to launch on July 1 without competition from its own predecessor. However, in response to a fan outcry, the company has decided not to delist the platformer. Before the announcement of the change of plan, Offworld ’s Brandon Boyer speculated that the delisting was designed to create “artificial scarcity” for the title, and enticing one final rush of downloads before the game disappeared — and then making the title available once again when the sequel’s sales dropped. In addition to canceling the removal of Rolando , ngmoco has reinstated Topple to the App Store, a game that had also been removed to make room for its own sequel. Rolando almost removed from App Store originally appeared on Joystiq on Tue, 30 Jun 2009 11:15:00 EST
