You’re probably asking yourself how the trio can recreate the full British pop quartet. To answer that, we offer this: through the aid of a surprise guest, of course! Head past the break to see who.

The best of WoW.com: January 6-13, 2010
by aherioslio on Jan.14, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
It’s been a busy week over at WoW.com and in the WoW world. We’ve heard from our sources late last week that the internal friends and family alpha will be beginning for the next World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm . And while this has lots of people excited, chances are you probably will never get in — unless you know someone. There were also lots of other interesting stories this past week, from the WoW movie being pushed up thanks to Spider-Man’s demise, to security holes and care packages, to papercrafts that prove none of us have any real artistic talent

Indie devs struggle to find the perfect iPhone price
by Styptoday on Jan.14, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games, iPhone
The ease of getting your game onto the iPhone is something of a double-edged sword for indie devs. On the one hand, it’s an amazing opportunity to get your pride and joy in front of millions. On the other, though, the amount of competition is pushing prices way lower than some devs are comfortable with. Or as Nathan Vella, co-founder of Toronto-based Critter Crunch / Clash of Heroes developer Capybara Games, so directly put it to Gamasutra “The push to 99 cents is the single most frustrating and terrible thing about App Store pricing.” Read the full piece if you’d like a better understanding of why indies are pricing they way they do. Though we understand their frustration, we’re surprised there’s not more hand wringing about all those free games littering the App Store, since we know so many people who refuse to pay cash for any game on the mobile platform

Look, we know you’ve been waiting with bated breath for all those Hearts of Iron 3 content packs to arrive on Impulse, so we were glad to tell you that they’ve finally arrived. Sure, so did The Saboteur and X-COM , but we know you’re not concerned. We suppose it’s possible you’ll tire yourself out with the new Hears of Iron 3 content to the point that you’ll need a break, so we should probably point out that a mess of other games made it onto Stardock’s digital distribution platform this week. Being the good friends we are, we’ve dropped the whole list just after the break, just for you!
