Rumor: Super Street Fighter IV cast getting new costumes
by noroKeeno on Mar.17, 2010, under Gadgets, Mac, Media, Video Games
[Image source: Shoryuken ] Based on some leaked shots of a supposed Super Street Fighter IV theme coming to the Xbox 360 (spotted by Shoryuken ), Capcom’s cast of brawlers are getting some fresh threads. In the case of Dee Jay above, it looks like he’s getting a time machine back to the early ’90s when those pants were still cool. But, we digress. These costumes look all well and good, but what about newcomer Hakan ? How do you clothe a man perpetually covered in baby oil?

Borderlands ‘Double Game Add-on Pack’ arrives April 6 in NA, April 9 ‘internationally;’ not coming to PS3
by REMERONcheapbuy on Mar.16, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
“A two pack?” you ask, confused by today’s announcement of the Borderlands DLC retail package. “But doesn’t that game have three DLC packs ? And aren’t there more coming ?” Yeah, sure, and you might even have a point! But for now, 2K Games chose to announce the release of The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot , together on disc, for $19.99 (starting on April 6 in North America and April 9 everywhere else). More confusing?

You can expect ‘a lot’ of Just Cause 2 DLC
by RezeptFreiCIALIS on Mar.16, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
Say you were to jump a sweet speedboat off an even sweeter ramp, then climb onto that speedboat and shoot a rocket at a dude in a tower (which is a real thing that happens in Just Cause 2 ) for 15 to 20 hours. Afterward, if someone asked you how much more time you wanted to spend doing things like that, we imagine the answer would be “a lot.” Perhaps it’s no coincidence, then, that that’s exactly how much DLC lead designer Peter Johansson tells Eurogamer is coming to the Just Cause 2: “a lot.” And that’s on top of all the content already on the game disc, which, by all external signs, is pretty darn imposing. Johannsson claims that his 60-percent-complete save file is about 55 game hours worth of playtime, which, if you let the math play out, means that if you were to play all 100 percent of the game, it would take roughly 73,000 hours. Roughly. You can expect ‘a lot’ of Just Cause 2 DLC originally appeared on Joystiq on Tue, 16 Mar 2010 15:30:00 EST.

Impressions: Mass Effect 2 DLC – Kasumi’s Stolen Memory
by marlenegatesc on Mar.14, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
click to kazoomi Like some of the best loyalty quests in Mass Effect 2 , ” Kasumi’s Stolen Memory ” is an inventive sub-story that steps away from all the galactic peril just long enough to explore the motives and traits of a newly recruited squad mate. The downloadable add-on introduces Kasumi, a cocky human thief in search of data relating to a former partner (in crime?), and sees Shepard accompanying her on an important and incredibly dangerous two-person mission. You know, a date. Donning a sleek bit of evening wear and a false identity, Shepard accompanies Kasumi to an exclusive party — the kind that requires either a shiny invitation or a shady conscience. While the commander mingles, a cloaked Kasumi keeps an eye out for the hidden art vault that she believes holds her partner’s grey box.

Nintendo sells 1.9 million DS and Wiis through Feb. 2010
by ShantiKeredex on Mar.12, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
Following last night’s NPD report for February, Nintendo has issued a press release lauding the amazing selling power of its own products. In typical fashion, the gaming giant that got your grandma into gaming has managed to sell a ridiculous amount of DS and Wii systems in the U.S. — 1.9 million in the first two months of 2010, to be exact. As impressive as that 1.9 million figure is, Nintendo’s ability to break its own records is even more impressive.

Rock Band Weekly: HIM, Marilyn Manson, The Police
by ordehoppy on Feb.19, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
Last week, the Rock Band Store got a few healthy slices of Americana with tracks from Otis Redding and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. This week’s offerings are much more foreign — there’s a three-pack from Finnish rock band HIM, a song from Britain’s One Night Only, a track from The Police, and a song from Marilyn Manson, whom we all know actually descends from an extinct alien race whose name our human tongues could never hope to pronounce.
