Mirror’s Edge iPhone leaps to ‘early 2010′ release
by Aseessinasas on Jan.08, 2010, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games, iPhone
It would appear our favorite little Runner, Faith, has hit a bit of a wall. IGN reports her iPhone outing has been pushed back from its previous January release window to a much more vague “early 2010.” We’re bummed, but hey, it’s better than EA forgetting about the Mirror’s Edge franchise entirely — a real, entirely horrible, possibility, we might add. IGN says this delay is to add some content and polish to the experience, which we’re all for.

Free Batman: Arkham Asylum DLC is multiplatform
by HoldPredCrero on Sep.09, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
That free Batman: Arkham Asylum DLC you’ve been anxiously awaiting won’t be exclusive to any one console. An Eidos employee popped onto the official forums to confirm that the free DLC would also be available for the PC at the same time as the Xbox 360 and PS3 console versions. As nice as all that is, what we’d really like to know is: what is it? We’re crossing our fingers for a Challenge room that lets us take on Alfred

Does ‘Don’t Copy That Floppy 2′ have Rage screens in it?
by brandongates on Sep.09, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
So, we were going to post the new “Don’t Copy That Floppy” video solely because it’s hysterical. (Seriously guys, fear mongering and dancing Klingons? Is it our birthday already?). But we think, and we’re not sure about this, but we think there’s a little bit of footage of Rage in it, right at 3:53

Monolith hiring for new ‘first-person action game’
by SarEvilia on Jun.30, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Software, Video Games
Monolith Productions — the developers behind titles such as F.E.A.R ., Condemned , and, if you’re an older gamer, No One Lives Forever — are looking for a software engineer for a ” triple-A next-generation console title,” as a recent job posting on the developer’s site points out. Further down into the nitty-gritty of the listing, you’ll find a brief description for this new Xbox 360, PS3, and PC title: ” Work closely with engineers, designers, and artists on the creation of game systems for a cutting-edge first-person action game on PlayStation 3, XBox 360 and PC.” And, sadly, that’s about all of the information on the game the job listing provides. With F.E.A.R.

Rolando almost removed from App Store
by JamesTKirk on Jun.30, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games, iPhone, iPod
This weekend, ngmoco announced plans to remove the original Rolando from the iPhone/iPod Touch App Store, to allow the sequel to launch on July 1 without competition from its own predecessor. However, in response to a fan outcry, the company has decided not to delist the platformer. Before the announcement of the change of plan, Offworld ’s Brandon Boyer speculated that the delisting was designed to create “artificial scarcity” for the title, and enticing one final rush of downloads before the game disappeared — and then making the title available once again when the sequel’s sales dropped. In addition to canceling the removal of Rolando , ngmoco has reinstated Topple to the App Store, a game that had also been removed to make room for its own sequel. Rolando almost removed from App Store originally appeared on Joystiq on Tue, 30 Jun 2009 11:15:00 EST
