OK, so next week’s Rock Band DLC doesn’t include “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” (pictured above) — that was included in the previous Tom Petty live anthology pack — but that video is all we can think of when someone mentions Petty. Well, that and the “Don’t Come Around Here No More” video, which had Petty playing The Mad Hatter and is also positively frightening — but that song is in neither pack. Beyond Petty memories of our broken childhood, next week’s update also includes tracks from Phoenix and Silvertide

Beverly Hills … that’s where I want to be (gimme, gimme), living in — wait, not really. Next week’s holiday Rock Band Weekly update has some catchiness, but it’s short on cheer. There’s a new track pack from Weezer, featuring two songs from the band’s latest album, Raditude .

Don’t worry, you won’t find any master of unlocking-level voice work in this Final Fantasy XIII trailer, as all the character actors totally bring their respective A-games. It’s the same trailer Square Enix released for TGS , although now that it’s in English, you can actually understand what’s going on. Alice in Chains and Breaking Benjamin (pictured doing their best Twilight pose) contribute several new tracks to the Rock Band Music Store next week. We … sorry, we’re just getting lost in those eyes and pale skin. It’s mesmerizing. There are also some additions from English psychedelic band, Kula Shaker, and a value-priced track called “U Suck” by Just Kait — which, knowing how the comments for RBW tend to lean, could very well be how many of you feel about the artist.

Rock Band Wiikly ’s tap has flowed with massive quantities of tracks for weeks now. Sure, the releases aren’t exactly synced with Rock Band Weekly , but the back catalog of Rock Band DLC is certainly being filled in. Our concern that it would take until mid-2010 for the full catalog sync is slowly dissipating.
