Why Two Worlds II isn’t Two Worlds: The Temptation
by diseno on Jul.06, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games

In reality, there was a lot more to it than that. The short version, from publisher Zuxxez PR director Joerg Schindler: “The Temptation had been canceled due to technical outdating [sic]. We use a complete new engine for Two Worlds II .” Continue reading Why Two Worlds II isn’t Two Worlds: The Temptation Why Two Worlds II isn’t Two Worlds: The Temptation originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 06 Jul 2009 10:45:00 EST. Reminder: Alpha Protocol is The Espionage RPG

So, in case it wasn’t made absolutely clear by the box art, here’s what Obsidian Entertainment’s head-slammin’ Alpha Protocol isn’t : The Overwrought Fantasy RPG The Contemplative Neo-Classical RPG The Effervescent Dating RPG The Number One Best Selling RPG An Espionage RPG That Other Game About The Secret Agent and Stuff Joking aside, it’s quite likely that we’re simply oblivious to the subtitle’s significance to the plot — the one involving a sneaky rocket-propelled grenade that taps your phone and then blows off your ear. See if you can spot it in the developer diary embedded after the break. Dungeons and Dragons Online not free-to-play in Europe
by foosseUndiste on Jun.10, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games
Yesterday, Turbine made a startling announcement that wowed penny-wise online gamers — its D20 rollin’ MMO, Dungeons and Dragons Online would receive a free-to-play edition with the subtitle Eberron Unlimited . There’s just one caveat — Unlimited is going live this summer in North America only. Codemasters confirmed the European exclusion in a statement, explaining “DDO Europe will not be assuming this new business model and the European DDO game service will remain a monthly subscription-based game.” There’s a chance that Europe could eventually gain access to Unlimited , as the statement mentions, “as the beta progresses we will release more information regarding the future plans for EU players.” Keep your eyes peeled and your perception checks high for more news on the matter as the beta opens its doors.
