by PashBreache on Dec.15, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games

by OrderCheapCiails on Dec.15, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Software, Video Games

In a tersely worded press release, ZeniMax Media – parent company of Fallout 3 -dev Bethesda Softworks and, as of June , FPS hall-of-famer id Software – has “announced today that it has picked up the publishing rights for Rage , the video game under development at id Software.” First announced in July 2008 during Electronic Arts’ E3 press conference, Rage was to be published under EA’s successful EA Partners program , home to other major titles from outside developers, like Rock Band , Left 4 Dead 2 , and Brutal Legend . Unlike ZeniMax’s other development studio, Bethesda, id Software will not be self-publishing Rage ; instead, ” Rage will be published by Bethesda Softworks,” the press release states. Batman Arkham Asylum 2 announced at the VGAs [update]

by prapear on Dec.12, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games

Before the dust settled on the beginning of this year’s Video Game Awards on Spike, the first surprise announcement was the revelation that Batman: Arkham Asylum would get a sequel. Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 presumably continues where the original critically acclaimed Rocksteady title left off, and was revealed via diabolical plot from Batman’s Nemesis The Joker. WB thinks Scribblenauts will have ‘Layton appeal’

by Spoiketoori on Sep.17, 2009, under Gadgets, Media, Video Games

Warner Bros. says it’s counting on Scribblenauts to start a new puzzle franchise, getting a taste of the same success that a certain top-hatted DS puzzler has enjoyed. “What Scribblenauts offers is something akin to Nintendo’s Professor Layton – an addictive and challenging game that has real mass-market appeal all wrapped up in a uniquely stylised package,” said WB marketing manager Phil Lamb. He seems to be making a logical argument until dropping this bon mot: “Many forum users are saying the game is the biggest incentive they’ve had to revisit their dormant DS in a long time.” So ..

by striwic on Sep.17, 2009, under Gadgets, How To, Media, Video Games

Sonic fans are notoriously devoted to Sega’s hedgehog mascot, sticking with the franchise in spite of Sega’s best efforts to run it into the ground . However, it’s arguable that no one is more dedicated to Sonic than Rich Kuta. Why? He’s making a feature-length Sonic film — and paying for it with his own money

It’s August 25th! And you know what that means: it’s Batman Day here in North America.
